leaking oil

i havent been on here in years but i recently got my blacktop s13 sr going again (after sitting for 2 years lol). now before i left it for dead, i did the head gasket and timing chain. now i thought the oil leak was coming from the upper oil pan but after a quick search, i found the leak to be coming from higher up on the motor. it seems like its coming from where the engine meets the bellhousing. its dripping onto the downpipe and from the bottom of the trans.

are these symptoms of a bad rear main seal? or is it something else? any help is appreciated

turned out to be a bad valve cover gasket. so happy it was only that lol
