my 92 240sx is leaking oil from somewhere and i can't figure it out. what are some points on the engine that are common for oil leaking. what parts might need replacing. please help me.

most common is the front crank seal. once it gets to leaking really good the crank pulley will fling it everywhere and the fan will blow it all back so it looks like its coming from everywhere. if thats the case, get some belts and a crank seal. you will need a few wrenches and sockets and a 27mm socket with a breaker bar. oh, and a fairly large 2 jaw gear puller may help out of you are unable to just pry the crank pulley off with two screwdrivers.

your gonna need a chain wrench as well to tighten the crank pulley bolt when done. to get it loose just stilt the pry bar against the frame or ground so it wont turn clockwise if the crank were to turn. then bump the ignition switch to the start position and you crank bolt will be loosened for ya.
