my 95 j30 ( 122k ) had an oil leak on valve cover, took to infiniti they want $1200 plus parts, so i went to small shops that do japanese cars, they estimate $700, is it a must to do it now or can it wait ? it's a small leak but since the oil drop in the manifolt sometimes i could smeel burning inside the car, any suggestion will help ....

If you leave it as is, it will only get worse. Oil dripping and burning in the engine compartment isn't a good thing-you could have a fire.

Since it is a VG30e (and I am a Nissan guy), I would suggest that you loosen the motor mounts, and put a jack on the bell-housing of the trans., then you will lift the engine to change the bad valve cover gaskets. Try using search for how to adjust the mounts.
