for some reason my upper radiator hose is leaking slightly at the thermostat side. It's a new hose that has about 600 miles on it, and it leaks just a little. I'm thinking about double clamping it, and possible replacing the hose. It's leaking right on to my Alt. and I don't want to have to replace that soon.

any suggestions?

First, I would take the hose off the thermostat housing and clean off any corrosion on the housing where the hose clamps on unless you already did that.

yeah, i already tried that. It was a blast spilling coolant all over, sanding down the fitting, putting it back together, and it not work any better.
