Any one have any tips for tightening the coolant feed (one closest to the block) with the tubro still on the car? I need to get this leak stopped b4 I can test drive it. And I REALLY do not want to pull the damn turbo again. Although, I am getting quite good at it

If it is the stock t25 turbo then how I did it was take the intake pipe off. Get a 3/8 rachet and 19mm socket. Stand on the side where the turbo is. Put the rachet and socket in between the block and the turbo. Have the rachet straight up and down. Use your left hand to put it on the bolt. Its kinda hard to do put it can be done. Then just tighten it up. Thats how I do it. Hope this helps.

I'm talking about the connection under the mani. Which is that, LOL...feed or return?

I think I could pull off getting the job done with a short 19mm box end, but my set only goes to 18mm. I REALLY do not want to have to pull off the turbo...again.

check to make sure you've got copper washers on both sides of the fittings. a stubby 19mm is just the trick to get it tight, you may also want to grab a long beam 19mm for the block side. should be about $8-12 at sears. and with those you shouldn't have to take the turbo off. good luck, hope it helps.

I messed with a fitting for my coolant lines for a while--Bought the stubby wrench and was done in 30 seconds. --Get the stubby.

BTW--I jacked up the car and went at it from underneath.

Damn, a stubby hunh? I can't seem to find a 19mm anywhere.

And no duh about the washers. I'm no n00b.

I don't have a stock exhaust mani, but I just got to it with a 19mm socket wrench. I would imagine it would be harder with the stock mani though, and a stubby 19mm would do the trick.

Do you have a Sears ( Craftsman tools) nearby? --I know I saw a 19mm on the shelf when i got an 18mm. --It was like $10 or so.

Nice. So looks like I will take a trip to the mall with my textbook resale money

Once this is done, should be back on the road. For a while. I hope.

Until the next thing breaks....
