Ok guys I feel like an idiot for even asking this but I'm just getting frustrated at this point.

I'm on the last leg of my 5-speed swap and I was getting ready to bleed my clutch but when my and my buddy went to bleed it the rubber line kept leaking from where it attaches to the slave cyliner and the hardline. I have bypassed the dampner box and I know these lines are on tight.
I can't figure out why it's still leaking when we try to bleed it.
Is there supposed to be an 0-ring between the rubber line and the slave cylinder because neither of these parts came with one when I bought them and I noticed a small indentation on the slave cylinder where it connects to the rubber line.

Any ideas anyone?

It's a flared end, no gasket or o ring needed. If there is slack you may want to reflare the ends and replace the fittings.

Alright so I got the leak fixed and got everything back together and now the transmission will shift without pressing the clutch and it was idling at about 3k rpms so I shut it off right away. What could be causing this?

If the car is off its not uncommon to shift without pressing the clutch. If it doing it while running that's an issue.

Idling at 3k rpms sounds like massive air/vaccum leak or stuck open throttle.

You were right about only being able to shift when the car is off, it's fine when the car is running.

I put the auto ECU back in and it lowered the idle enough to drive around a little bit and everything works fine. I just need to figure out the idle and it should be ok.

The idle seems to kind of serge to about 2300 then drop to normal and it keeps doing this. If I rev it when it starts idling high it drops back down to normal for a few seconds then goes back up. Does this sound like a timing issue or a vaccum leak?

I could possibly be the EGR or lines around it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/icex01x/82556947/

So I think I've got this figured out and I'm pretty sure my TPS is crap.
Now if I were to replace it, would I use one for a manual transmission or automatic transmission (im using an auto ECU)

I've used an auto one on my manual ECU with no problems at all. however I'm not sure about using an Auto ECU. Should work though, As far as I know, the auto TPS just puts another signal to the trans itself.

dude hope u fix your glitches... I just finished my swap three days ago and still working out the kinks, as for the dancing around of your rpm, i would check the vacuum hoses.... Can you do me a favor and keep an eye on your mpg once you start driving it around? my mpg has been killing me and want to know if this is common after keeping an auto ecu on a 5 spd. Dont mean to tread jack by the way just seeking some help...

Well good news, i was driving around town today and i stopped at a stop light and noticed it was idling fine. I have no clue why but it runs percect now for some reason.
Ill defenetly keep an eye on my mpg for you and let you know if it improved or not. Just make sure you shift at a lower rpm to help with that.
