Hey everyone, it's rain season so I figure I should finally solve my leaking A-pillar issue. I know it to be a slow leak, for example, going through the car wash will not send water into the cab, but a long rain or snow leaves a noticeable amount of water.
I will post pictures if I can figure out how.
There is surface rust along the windshield a bit, but not by the leak. Maybe it's the sunroof drains?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Some pictures would definitely help  Where is the rust, and where is the water showing up, exactly? I think I've seen people getting rust in that area where the roof and a-pillar pieces join up. It's possible some hidden rust up there or around the windshield is letting water in. Once the water's in the frame, it could be running all sorts of places.

Thanks for the responses. How do I post pictures on the thread?

Fairly easy once you get the hang of it:
You need to upload your pictures to a host website, like photobucket.
Once there, just copy and paste the URL/IMG location for that pic in your post. Done.

That rust on your roof at the top of the windshield is not good.
I had the same issue a few years ago ( I might have written about it in an earlier post).
My roof line was getting quite bad, and I had water on the floor on the passenger side.
I did not have wet headliners like you do. I also don't have a sun roof.
I had the windshield removed, all the rust repaired (new metal, top and bottom), roof repainted, and a new windshield installed. So far so good.

That rippling weatherstripping on the roof is pretty suspect too. Sorry, I don't have any experience dealing with rust. I'd hit up a paint/body shop and see what they say as far as options.

Thanks for all the responses. Went to Maaco today and got a $900 repair estimate :(. I guess it'll be worth it, but I wish I knew this when I was bargaining with the PO. One way I think I can reduce this price is by removing the headliner myself. Any tips on that?

I paid about $1,100 for my roof rust repair and paint job. I didn't remove the headliner or anything myself.
This also included a new windshield, as they had to break the old one to get it out.
I actually didn't mind paying a little extra for the new windshield. The old one was getting pitted and stuff, so that was a bonus.

You may also want to check the sunroof drainage system it may be clogged (like Mine) which requires extensive headliner removal. The water seapage you are having is similar to mine, also my seatbelts were also saturated. It was a real pain in the ........... good luck
