Horrible results. I was trying to figure out why i was buring oil or coolant.

Leakdown test results.

80%90%90%79%

20% should be max for those of you who dont know.

Teacher said it's either warped head and/or head gasket. We checked all possible leakage places and the only place leaking was radiator. It has bubbles randomly coming up

So it's either rebuild or sell.

This just puts me farther away from ka-t

Opinoins.....

I've never been a big fan of used motors going KA-t. I say you rebuild so everything is fresh. It'll cost more, but last a hell of a lot longer.

Smells like a rebuild to me as well. Don't worry about it though, you'll eventually need a rebuild to boost a good amount anyway. Usually bearing #3 (the one with the thrust bearings) usually seem to fail on the KA's. So no better time like the present. When my first SR blew up, I bought another junked one and built it like a beast on the inside but was without a car for a year while it went through the build.

Get a spare KA from a junkyard or local. Rebuild it while you drive yours around. Looks like your KA-T plans will be put on hold for a while. Just do a forged rebuild then you will never have to worry about it again for a while. I mean why sell a car if you can get a motor for cheap.
