LE vs SE roof racks, where to buy!

Hey guys,

Ever since I bought my 03 LE I have been eying the SE roof racks. The SE roof rack looks so much more practical and "cooler" than the LE one. Apart from the "coolness" factor, are they really any better? Or are the LE ones better?

The le's cross bars are easily and quickly adjustable I dont know if the se even has cross bars on it

Huh, I have an SE and I have your pictured LE's roof rack. I have an '01.5 though.

SEs have crossbars and are easily adjustable.

not sure where you can get the full rack, but it'll probably cost you a pretty penny. your best bet would be to hunt down some other R50 owners that have scrapped their OEM racks for aftermarket racks.

i just got some Yakima rail grab towers with round bars so that i can use all my adjustable add-ons on my SE rack.

I think the SE roofrack is the best look wise, and even utility wise. Me and my dad like 2 years ago we were bringing pressure treated lumber from lowes to build a playset for my brother & sister and at times there was easily like 300lbs or more of wood on there and it was fine. Also hauled a huge a** futon ( not the cheap light metal ones, but a well built wood one ) all the way from new york to Pennsylvania like 4 years ago, and it did great also.
