It may be more cost-effective to buy a screen that's already touch. But if you wanna do it, digitalww.com has a touch kit for about $150, I think, and they range from, I believe 5" to 8", maybe larger. BTW, are you using a VGA monitor? Cuz I really hope you're not using RC's to hook up to a computer.....

It's been a while since I've seen anyone talking about this on Nico, but I think a few folks have done it here and there. 240's could hardly be better designed for a touchscreen lcd.

You can put a big *** wireless antina in the trunk of the car so that you can drive up around some houses and use your wireless connection to get into there lan. Not saying that you should crack around or anything. Just for internet purposes only.

My setup is completely ghettofied right now, but I've seen a few folks on the mp3car forums with 240 setups that you could check out.

sounds good.

right now i'm in the process of comparing computers to put on.

i might just build a shuttle comp from a barebone if i can find a few places with the hook up.

2 question with the lcd screen.

does it sit flush in that DIN? any modification needed to make it fit like yours?

Ill do a ghetto writeup soon. I have my whole pc system in and it works perfectly but i think i crossed some wires and blew up my screen. My new one should be here sometime this week. As for the basics, ill list some rules below.

The board has to be ITX or mini ATX. I got my to fit barely without a case into the slot and down onto the carpet. Get an M1-ATX power supply. The screen will far from sit flush. Look at teh Touch Screen LCD thread in this forum for what burnin240sx did to get his. Im going to do the same but it takes fiberglassing skill. 7" is the biggest screen you could use without cutting the DIN frame behind teh plastic console cover.
