I have an 06 M45, the other day a random grouping of pixels in the dot matrix display located under the tachometer became stuck on, and the next day the number of pixels stuck on grew! Has anyone seen and issue like this before? And if so, what was the cause?

I had a line of pixels right under the trip mileage once. It was weird, but then it went away with no reason. It was quite a cold day, but not unusually cold. Have 2007 M35x.

Mine is a random grouping, and its not going away, it's been about 5 days now, it drives me nuts. I was shocked though, the instrument cluster is only $350. I wish I could figure out how to attach a picture...

I have the same problem. It's been like this for week. Doesn't really bother me anymore.

I just had the same issue and found this by searching.
There are patch (cluster of pixels to be exact) on the LCD panel of the tachometer (Where it normally display D/N/R and the foot picture to remind you to press brake when starting). It has been there for over a week and I don't think it is going away.
My question is: Is there a way to replace that LCD alone, or I will need to replace the tachometer totally? How does it hold up (meaning, not expanding) for those folks that had this issue back in March.
