Hi all Nissan owners!

A question to all gurus here.

So I have a Rogue Sport which I leased for 3 years and now decided to buy it out. The buyout price on the contract is $15,787
I know that I'd need to pay the reg and tax over the price but... went to a dealer and could not believe these fees:

Government fee - 423
ProcDoc fee - 699
Lease buyout fee (LBO) - 2,895!!
And the tax on all that - 1,337

So after all, from 15,787 it came out $21,941!! which is $6k+ more than the car's cost.

That is just shocking. Would anyone know which fees are bogus and which ones I can reduce here?

All those fees are legit because they say so. Just like the dreaded bs processing & destination fees.

A lease is never worth it’s weight on paper. You get nothing back from the stealership if you want to purchase the vehicle later.

It would have been best to have made monthly payments to purchase the car in the beginning.

I never admire salesmen pitching a lease where you own no car in the end.

Just my 2 cents.

Update.
I called the main office, and they said that I just need to pay the tax and another $300 fee. Nothing else. She said that the other "fees" were added by the dealership and sure were excessive. So yes, it sure was a stealership.
