RD-M300 Amp & Type E 10" Sub w/ enclosure for $90 beans.
you had better think about removing the spare tire and foam, cause you only have 12" under the rear speakersLongBeachCoupe wrote:The box is 13" high
The heatsinks? Yeah, I always used to cut my fingers bad on them things.mcheddadi wrote:watch out for them pointy things lol.
isnt a heatsink the big magnet on the back of a sub? i think Mendi is talking about the sub's cover on front..maxentropy wrote:The heatsinks? Yeah, I always used to cut my fingers bad on them things.
Mehdi may be refering to the subwoofer cover (aka subwoofer grille), but heatsinks are the metal type strips that are usually on the outside of the Amplifier case that absorbs and dissipates heat from the Amplifier to help to cool it down.LongBeachCoupe wrote: isnt a heatsink the big magnet on the back of a sub? i think Mendi is talking about the sub's cover on front..
Yup. That's just the grille. There to protect the speaker from the crap in your trunk.LongBeachCoupe wrote:

I measured.. it wont fit standin up... its gonna be layin down... Amazing how small our trunks are!
What makes you think mine took more than an hour and cost more than a C-note? Ha, I wish I could've gotten through that relatively unscathed. Take pics when you get that thing going. Have you figured out where you're going to run power cable yet?LongBeachCoupe wrote:if it needs to get folded down, 1 side will do...
Id do a install like yours, if it could be wired up in an hour or 2.. and costs $100!
LBC=Value Guy
Doc already has all the color coded wires you need to tap into on a sticky here. But a how-to would be nice for folks with less experience. Keep us posted on your install!LongBeachCoupe wrote:Im gonna need some help when i do the install (bose) and ill do a nice detailed writeup for anyone wanting to "strap any ol sub n amp" into the system...
Please take pics where you're tapping into speaker wire. I talked to Doc about this, and I'm working on compiling a huge FAQ for the audio section. Obviously, I went overboard with my system (and most members wont be interested in going this far). I'd like to get some info on adding a sub to the stock Bose system with pics. Would be greatly appreciated.maxentropy wrote:Doc already has all the color coded wires you need to tap into on a sticky here. But a how-to would be nice for folks with less experience.
