Ok, so I just bought this 1991 240sx Hatchback. Dealing with a KA24DE with 230k+ was runnin kinda ruff but not like what im about to describe. I replaced the plugs, all was fine and ran better. I replace Cap/rotor (and yes the plugs wires are going to the right spot, i even double checked myself and again) and now when it starts its deffinetly missing, might even be 2 cylinders. And when I rev it up, it sounds like a lawnmower because it seems to be running on 1-3 cylinders. Any Ideas? Oh and I tried to take the cap off to see If the rotor was on there correctly and the dang bolt is stripped on one side.

HELP!

i'd start by checking to make sure that you're getting spark to each cylinder.

Put the tip of a long screw driver to each injector and put your ear on the handle and if you hear a ticking, that means you're getting fuel. If you're getting fuel on all 4, you're not getting spark on all of them. At night time, pull off each wire (from the distro) and keep it close to the distro. If you see the spark, you're getting spark on that cylinder.

I had to do the same thing a couple months back when my fuel injector harnesses were getting a back connection. Which then, I took them each off and cleaned every pin and connector.
