So I just bought a 95 240sx and everything works great~! just lots of small electrical things I want to fix.

The car came with Tanabe coilovers, and I'm assuming their adjustable, but I'm not sure how to adjust them. I live in MN and there are too many potholes for the car to be too low.

Also, the washer sprays are not functioning. The wipers work fine but the washers won't activate. I believe it was empty for quite some time, so would that effect the washers? I have downloaded the diagrams, but I'm not sure which harness I should be looking at.

When the drivers door opens, the light up top does not light up, but when the passenger side opens, it does. Is there a diagram for something so specific? Related would be that when the drivers side door is open, the beeping is starting to get annoying.

One last question, the back part of the A/C buttons does not light up, is there a way to change the bulb in the back?

OK to start off you probably have a faulty door jam switch which is why the dome light won't come on when you open the drivers door, it is that black push button on the door sill, also check to see if the door ajar light comes on as well if not it's the switch, replace it. Your washer sprayers are probably gummed up with something so try to clean them out with a needle and then trace the hoses to the tank and check that as well. You may have to pull the tank and flush it and if that doesn't work then it's probably the pump, Sorry! If you do have to replace the washer sprayers on the hood they are fairly cheap so don't sweat it. The lights in the back of the A/C unit are easy to replace but the bulbs are tiny and will run about $5 a pop at the dealer which sadly is the only place you can buy them. One you pull the trim off around the A/C controls unplug the harness and pull the back cover off, inside you will see circuit boards with bulbs screwed into them. They are 1/4 turn bulbs and are easy to remove but there are three of them and the 3rd one is kind of a B!%@# to get to. I have replaced mine before as well. That beeping you hear when the drivers door is open is annoying but it might save you one day if you happen to leave your headlights on like I did about a year ago. I unplugged mine and left the lights on after driving to work on a rainy morning and forgot. If you want to make it stop reach under the dash below the steering wheel while it is beeping and you will be able to hear and feel the relay, simply uunplug it an the beep is gone but like I said heed my warning. As for your coilovers your're on your own , Sorry!

Hey man, congrats on your find and welcome to the community.

I wouldn't assume anything about coilovers you didn't buy. If they are adjustable, they should have come with a special tool to adjust the ride height. If they are damper adjustable, then you probably will find a dial either on top (sticking through the shock tower under the hood) or somewhere on the shock body. If you can't find either of these, for all intents and purposes, your coils aren't adjustable.

When you go to use the washers, do you hear a humming from somewhere under the hood? If not, then the pump/motor/impeller/whatever that shoots the fluid from its tank through the lines is probably defective. If you do hear a humming, check for leaks/breaks/bends in the washer lines (which I assume you can identify through your diagrams). Other than that, I don't know what to tell ya... hope it works!

As far as the driver's side door not tripping the dome light, check your FSM (Factory Service Manual) for a wiring diagram for interior or cabin electrical/illumination. While it might be hard to find, there's probably a break somewhere between your door open/close sensor and the dome assembly. I'm inclined to think that this is the case because with the driver's door open your "close door, close door" chime sounds like it works. So whatever mechanism that detects your door seems to be working as well.

Do the LEDs in your A/C unit work? Is it just the buttons that aren't lighting up? If that's the case, then yes, you can swap the bulbs out. Good luck finding them, though. No average parts place I know carries them, but perhaps an electronics shop would. Good luck and again, congratulations!

And as for the coilovers, see if there is a knob on top of the coilover when you pop the hood. Most have adjustable plates, and adjustable on the coilover itself.

Thanks for the replies~! I've been looking for answers for a few days online, but can't seem to find the correct diagrams.

Do you have a FSM?

I have the downloaded "FSM" from a site that I saw on Nico... it has some wiring diagrams.

But I finally found the time and I have the A/C unit in front of me, I took the back panel off, and it looks like the circuit board has no light bulbs, so I tried removing that circuit board, and it wouldn't let me take it off completely, but I could see underneath it. There were still no light bulbs. Does anyone know what else I can do to get to the back lights in the A/C unit?
