hey I have the spec stage 1,

since I've gotten it sseveral months ago I haven't done much racing just started. I'm finding that I constantly spin my tires through 1st gear and end up bogging 2nd. set up: i/h/e cams, lightened flywheel, tires: not too great, but not el cheapo brand and bout a year old.

what RPM should I launch at?

BTW what do terms like slip and dump the clutch mean? thaks

I may be wrong because I don't have a whole lot of knowledge In this field, so don't jump on me. I was told when looking for a new clutch/flywheel at a shop called Clutch Masters here in Cali. that you should only get a lightened flywheel when you are turbo charged. I was told that without the extra power of the turbo, the flywheel MAY hurt your performance. Also, slipping the clutch means holding the clutch in partial untill you get traction. Dumping the clutch is flat out just taking your foot off the pedal. I would suggest a launch no higer than 3k w/ the KA. And get good tires! To me, tires are very important.

oh ok, that's what I thought dumping and slipping meant, I definitley slip it, but 3000 on ym tires = definitley spining tires all throughout 1st. I like my flywheel, don't see how they hurt performance, other than the RPM drops very quickly during clutch ins.

i dump it at 2500, feather the gas out as it breaks traction, when it grabs then slam it into second and just keep going

voila, 2.0 60 foot on an open diff
