I was just wondering whats the preferred way to launch. I have a stock s13 an bald tires so I spin them easily so right now Ive just been launchin at like 1500-2000 just to keep wheel spin down. But when I buy new tires I wanna know whats the best way to launch. Thanks

about 2800 gets me decent launches...afraid to go any further because I don't wanna burn out (too cheap to buy new tires if I do).

you need to take it up to like 4-5 and feather the clutch out, it might seem slow but you will get really good 60'. I will get my friend to write it better for you, he hits 2.2s in his 91 integra rs with i/e on extremely bald tires.

Haha I do 2800 almost pop the clutch;). Guess my method isn't the best but I'm not dragging right now so it don't matter y0.

What about launching an SR s13 with stock clutch? I was figuring on dropping around 3K? Any opinions?

there should be no droping of the clutch. you need to slip it out

my old car had a convertor that launched it off at 4000.For an auto, that's like dumping the clutch in your 5 speed.

For fastest times @ the drag strip...rev to 3500-4000 rpm slip the clutch till u hookup....that way u never get down in the weak spot of the motor.

When its about to bog, add a little clutch so you don't do that. From my experience, you can't just launch with pulling your foot off the clutch and slamming on the gas. You gotta finesse them both to get the best launch.

There that is what you do, i found that with our friends at altimas.net and it works well. There are some smart people over there

I know you can't launch with just pulling your foot off the clutch lol. Just saying, I'm not worried about racing right now (at least not with the big boys...I'll take down the ricers to help you guys out). When I get my car up to how I want it, I will make sure my launches=perfection.

that is still the best way to do it, if you dont want to go that high do 2500.
