Launching an RB car at the track..

Well, I ran 275 sticky perellis (sp?) on the track with miserable results. I was spinning through 3rd! Freaking tires felt like grease.

Next time I head out there, Ill try to get connected with you. Your welcome to try making a pass on my ET streets if you wanna try them out.

BTW; My LS6 coils should be here tomorrow.

Yea definately... Keep us posted on how you do. Your MPH is good for DEEP 12s if you can get that launch down.

If you need help with the coils feel free to email me.... Like I said I am more than willing to help on a weekend if you want.

I may take you up on that. I have a spare wiring harness for the RB coil setup too so it should be pretty painless to convert. Thanks again for the offer.

Deep 12s would be nice. Car also fell flat on its face in 3rd gear for a second or two. I suspect there are some good times in there if I can get my driving down.

You raise an interesting question. I am not sure if there is or not. I suspected there might be, but ruled it out as injector clatter. IF I have a leak it might be right at the head flange. Everywhere I can fit my hand I have checked for leaks.

I only ask because when I use to have my DSM I had a cracked exhaust manifold right at the flange of my Turbo (T3/T4) and I couldn't get that thing out of the hole unless I reved up and down 4400-5500 . The topend suffered too, it was until I got it fixed that I realized that it was my major problem.

What I do is i release the clutch pedal to wear the clutch starts to just bearly touch,then *** soon as i see the last light i dump it an floor it simotainiously...I pull 1.62 60's in my s13 with et streets and rb20 and run 12.4-12.6 thats basically stock just BPU....I also have a s14 with RB25 and i pulled a 1.9 60' on street tires and went 13.002,added a tire and pulled a 1.7 60' and went 12.5,add 50 shot pulled 1.63 60' and went 11.90

ive tried that at my track before... wheels spin like crazy. and im only at 265whp, street tires. best i could muster was a 2.1 60ft. do u have lsd? for sure ill be getting some new tires, MT drag rads is what im most likely getting and hopefully i can find a decently priced lsd.

My s13 was pushing 270whp on a dynojet with M/T drags 22x8x15 and j30 LSD,and my rb25 should be over 300whp and has stock LSD and 26x8.5x15....1.6 60's outta both cars easy,and no wheel spin with 10psi...best i did on 275/35/18 sport contacts was 1.9 60' and 12.9....
