Car: 2006 G35 Coupe 6mt

Post

Ok here is the thing. i got a 2006 6 spd coupe and cant seem to be able to launch smoothly. it eather makes a sudden burst when i release the cluch, or i over rev the car or the whole car starts to shake like its gonna blow up. anyone has any goot techniques or tips on how to launch smoothly. Or can the problem be that i have messed up my clutch or gearbox??? Noob :-)

Release the clutch more slowly and stay more steady with throttle application. If you're still having that many issues then have it looked at.

2007 g35 sedan is the only g35 i drove, so i cannot say this applies to you.

i noticed that 6mt model's clutch pedal has very short travel than i like to have. from the point of the clutch pedal contact to the full engagement is really small; at least, it is smallest among cars i have tried.

so the solution is that you have to practice to know the exact point of the clutch contact & the full engagement point, so that you can be sure to slip the clutch while launching the car slowly.

this is the one of the reason i chose to get the 5speed auto instead of 6mt model

if nissan asked me, i would give little bit more travel from the contact to the full engagement, and the transmission is transmitting too mcuh vibration to the stick. nissan still has a long way to go
