most of the time i rev mine to 3 and drop it to 1 then at 6000 I put it in 2nd til 6000 then put it in drive. From a drop i either turn off the overdrive then shift it back on or drop it in 2nd. i know this isn't good for the tranny but just keeping it in drive blows. How you guys lauch and drop your auto? i ran a 15.72 by going from a 3000 drop

I read this on a magazine i think but my friend tried it and it is really good for his stealth Twin turbo

Once you are on the line, put it in neutral with your left feet push the brake and then rev it once and the brake will get hard(called power brake i think) then put it on drive or 1st whatever you prefer and start revving it without loosing the brake. It will make the engine rev more than 3000 and you will launch harder. I am not sure if this can cause any problem maybe anyone can tell you. Tona

thanks i will have to try this....i get my 5 speed swap in April....so i guess launching in an auto will only last shortly..thanks again...can't wait to try
