Launch Control

I have been looking around for a launch control system and I have a few questions.

Some people have told me that you need a standalone to run launch control. Now, I think the launch conrtol that you need a standalone for is the kind that you can tune (super rich/retard timing) to spool a really really big turbo.. The kind you see on drag supra's and such.

My turbo is not that big, I'm looking more for consistancy... and boost at the line of course.

Is there some kind of 2 step rev limiter that anyone here is using? I found an MSD box in a summit magazine.. It has 2 spots to plug in different RPM limits (of course sold separatly), the first for the launch, second for your actual rev limit. Downside is, it "plugs in to your rev limiter" they say... Makes me think this plugs in to another of their units? Doubling the cost of course.

im not sure about what you need. I do know that the 2-step is an add-on to one of there ignition boxes. It's not standalone. So you need to have there ignition box and the 2-step launch control for it to work.
