Thanks Heath.
I cut up one of the PL20195s I used on the BlacQ, and was impressed overall. the 20195 does have an internal bypass unlike the OEM. it is rated at 8-11 psi differential. i truly don't know which opens first, the filter or the one on the block, but i do have evidence that this filter is the shizzle. Some say the ADBV sux on the pure one. There is about 1.5 sec of startup clatter if sitting for a week. But that is after sitting for a week. I posted a comparison of the M1-208 also cut up a year or so ago. All the other filters on the historical samples above were M1-208s (yes, from Joe) so there is a direct comparison.
My custom blend is 1qt M1 0w40 with the 5 qt jug of 0w30 from wally world. this is the nirvana i will stick with. i think the AFE would be ok, but slightly on the light side to run all 6qt. for reference, the sample drawn in Apr 2013 was on 4 qt 0w30 AFE and 2qt 0w40. you can see the diff in the cSt numbers. some rant on M1 shearing. I haven't found that to be the case.
$2 a qt! can't beat that even at Wally's. nice score.
