After a ton of supplier issues I'm still waiting on parts to roll in. I'm to the point of wanting to sell my 240 and boost up my Celica GTS.

Now I've found a new company that sells turbo kits and other supplies for a fantastic deal IMO. My whole purpose was simply to provide an affordable quality kit, since there weren't any cheap options available. However, there are now several cheap and decent options for everyone. With these guys available, there isn't much point in me developing an affordable kit, since I will be charging the same amount as kits that are already available.

In short, I'm basically pulling out of the turbo design and build phase and will only be doing custom installs and motor build ups. I didn't come to this decision lightly, after 2 deaths in the family and several other tramatic events, I've decided to stay in the USAF for another 9 years and retire. That placing a turbo bussiness as strictly a side option. Its simply to hard to run a bussiness with any kind of decent customer service while being deployed all over the world at any given time.

I'll always be available for advice or assistance with installs. But I don't want to drag anyone along expecting a sweet turbo kit when there is already one available.

I'd link the websites but they aren't paying advertisers as of yet. But they are available and for well under the $3000 range.

Thanks for the support over the last 2 years. I'll still be building my race car, but now I can do it my way without worrying about a marketable kit.

Brian, WD

I was shocked to hear you were being deployed again so soon after returing home.I respect your dedication to your job and your decision to put personal matters before any business venture. I hope that everything works out for you and your family.

that's really too bad... oh well...

judging from people at freshalloy, they really don't think the ebay kit is all that it's cracked up to be, crack as in thin manifolds...

I've already looked at the manifold. Its basically a SSAutochrome, infact I'm pretty sure it is. However, SS now uses a new material which after inspection is the same thickness and type that HKS uses. The interior welds were all clean and the runners were all ported.

Turbo kits have been available at this price for every other car on the market for years now. Its about time we have an affordable one. I think the price is what scares people away. Honestly, if you want a good cheap kit, I'd buy it, if I had alot of cash I'd go with a FullRace turbo kit with AEM EMS. But Thats assuming I have a ton of cash.

To each his own...

dissapointing, but understandable. I was waiting for you to finish your kit so I could buy from someone I KNOW I can trust and will have nothing but top quality parts and service. With your recommendation though, I think I'll look into the ebay kit a little more. Good luck with everything, and glad you'll still be around to show us the way :)

Well the kinda thing im going for is SS and mandrel bent so on and so forth. SO far the only one that might offer that from what I can tell is SSAUTO not even sure if they will do a SOHC and the importperformance and im not sure if that is mandrel bent either so the only hope right now is importperformance well see how things change over time im glad however that the quality of this stuff ifs growing. Otherwise ide be stuck with a POS looking realnissan manifold for 400 bucks.. uhhh

The real nissan is a quality unit. If its the one I'm thinking of, there's another thread with pics of a bottom mount.

Ahh its a sad day in Ka-T history but I think we'll be able to survive. You WD made me stick to keeping the 24de and going turbo instead of doing a swap. I saw that link first link floating around and they do like a quality kit, maybe even up to your quality specs lol. Keep us informed on your travels and the progress of your monster and i'm sure that when i do get the money to go turbo, I'll have plenty of trouble shooting questions to keep you busy lol. Keep our country and our 240's safe, cya around the boards Brian.
