Well, I got the latest issue of SCC in the mail yesterday. Pretty good issue. They tested six of the cars in the latest Fast and Furiously Gay movie, and guess what. They're slow. Yes, slow AND ugly. They converted the Skyline to a RWD car so it would look cooler in action. That's right, they disabled one of the very things that makes that car so incredible. They also mounted THREE nitrous bottles in the car that aren't even functional. Unbelievable.

The only remotely fast car they tested was a '69 Yenko Camaro clone. It ran a traction-limited 13.7 at 107.

There is also a very nice R32 GT-R featured. Yummy.

the saddest part of it was that the evo made 0-60 run of 7.3 seconds with the AWD

atleast the s2000 ran a 13.9. And i cant believe they put a hair pick on the supra!! what the hell is that about.

I think everyone on this board should vote for Dedric Lary's 95 240sx thats a candidate for the uscc next year. Its the only 240 that u can vote on!

gotta love the 180sx they feature too

:D

That's about what a 654 HP supra runs anyway though. LOL

Junk. This month's issue was junk... not just the 2f2f article. I couldn't tell if i was reading import tuner or SCC. Sure, SCC puts in a good amount of tech and broadens the racing coverage spectrum to include rallying, scca, and so on, and that's what i like.

Still, these two magazines are painfully similar. I do understand that they are both subsidiaries of Primedia.

HAHA yeah at least my toilet paper makes me feel better when I use it...

Cant say I feel good reading any car type mags besides SportsCar GRM or the UK max power (its just damn funny at times)... Reading the import mags irritates me to no end, kinda like using brown paper towels for my toilet paper....

I liked the road racing for $7k article, i think that one will turn up quite interesting when they do more with it. Other than that though...i'll have to agree that the issue is scummy.

you're looking at the wrong issue, then. July '03 is the one with 2F2F slow detuned pink cars

Thanks for the review!

These days I buy magazines at 7-11, when I come across one that has a good article or two (or even three in those rare instances when such things happen). Usually that means I'll buy SCC. If I had to have a subscription to a newstand racing magazine, it would be SCC. Their tech articles are usually more relevant to what I'm interested in.

GRM is a good magazine, though most of their articles go over my head. =/
