well the engine is running very smooth with my new fuel set up, BUT i did not hit the 300rwhp mark that i wanted to hit, i think the turbine section of my turbo is too small for the volume of air it has to move, cause my top end power drops like a rock....in any case the ambiant air temp was 22deg cel, and it was done at 13.6psi of boost...i netted 323ftlbs torque..and 288rwhp..which is nice....BUT the high end power loss has to be addressed...lucky for me..my .63 ar turbine section can be swapped out for a .82 ar section..while still being bolt on to my exisiting turbo manifold ...that is the next step to the evolution...EGT temps were good at WOT and settling in at 800-825 deg cel..and the car sounded great...it really is running good....in any case its a real stump puller with 323ftlbs at 4400rpm.....i did not want to push past the 14psi boost level since i only had ultra 94 fuel in the tank...here is the chart..

Hmm....are you runnin the stock cam Adam?? What turbine are you running exactly?? Whats controlling your fuel? Basically, whats your setup...heh...I'd like to see if I can help elevate that drop at 5000.

IIRC he used to have a built NA engine, so I think he's got a good cam on there. And unless something changed, he was running 370's + a couple extra injectors.

hi WD, i have the stock SOHC cam in the car now (i took out the NA race cam) i have the JWT 50lb running at 4 bar fuel pressure, with the cobra maf...

turbine.... t3 stage 3 .63 ar with t4 h-3 compressor...

it migt be the cam? or timing? going back to dyno this week to see...

Adam, did your boost fall off after that dropoff? It kind of seems like it did, I'm just wondering. I know that if boost stays the same, the turboed curve will follow the NA curve, but I wasn't sure if the NA curve has the same drastic dropoff.

I think is the spark timing, and your fuel map.If I am correct, KA ECU retard few degree, and provide "controvesial" fuel map after 5000rpm. ( more when RPM raise )

Do you have stock ECU ?

Try to run it with Wide-Band O2. It will give you a better clue. KA should maintain HP curve till 6000. Seeing your HP fall after 5000 is sad :)

Not sure what KA you are talking about, but Adam's SOHC, and any other SOHC motor will not hold it's power till 6000rpm.

I think you just need more air-flow up top. Maybe a specially designed cam for turbo applications. I think Shadbolt can make you one. Still, 323lb-ft at 4400rpms is nothing to be dissapointed about!! Gotta love displacement.

nice torque, i do think changing the cam would help a whole lot on the hp part. and ofcourse a bigger turbo and more boost could help a whole lot too...he he.... and i dont know about anyone elses kae's but mine does pull storng up to 6k rpm, i love my kae.

I'd like to see your DYNO chart of your motor pulling all the way till 6000rpm.

What it "feels" like in the car while driving, has no bearing on what the power is doing.

You may FEEL it pulling till 6000rpm, I'm sure Adam's car doesn't fall on it's face at 6000rpm, but the power drops either way.

So please post your dyno of your car do we can all see how your KA is different!

my NA engine (same engine before it was turboed pulled very hard to red line) see green dyno plot..this was with a huge 503 lift and 300 duration cam however..

it pulled up to 6200rpm before it started to drop off....vs my turbo motor pulls to approx 5200rpm before it drops off..

going to another dyno tuner tonight..to get accurate A/F , and timing checked...
