Who has later model stock infiniti head units in their g50s?

Which year and cars fit the g50?

I have a 96 q45 and I don't have a cd changer. Instead of getting a cd changer i'd much rather find a stock head unit with indash cd.

If you have one please post pics and tell what it came from.

Thanks

Far as I know, 95 and later Nissans use the same connector. As long as its a standard double din Nissan head unit, it will plug in. Some folks use G20 CD head units, some use HUs from Pathfinders. Sound quality may be off though, since the amplifiers won't be specifically matched to the new HU.

You can also use a CD head unit from a 1997-2001 Q45. Pretty much ate late 90s/early 2000s Nissan product with a standard din or double din size.

There's a few threads by myself and Jesda on the subject, but in short

Any (standard shape double DIN) Nissan/Infiniti Bose HU will fit. The ones with the DNR button in the lower right hand corner should plug right in without an adapter. Thoe ones with out the DNR button ont he lower right hand corner require a ~$15 adapter that's meant to be used to add a single DIN CD player to a 300ZX (Z32).

How about the pre-95 Q? Are there any plug-n-play later model cd players for them?

it works the same way... You may just need the adapter to make it plug and play but otherwise it works.

you do realize that none of the other headunits will match the integrated look of the buttons matching size/shape/placement with the climate control units.I think the 160-180 joe charges for the 6disc trunk unit might be the best option to maintain the look of the dash

I think the 99 Pathfinder HU I put in my 94 looked good. The "font" of the display even seemed to match, only thing is it was brighter ... until the AC display went out and I replaced it with one that match the brightness of the HU.

I've got pics on here somewhere.

look at the stock one carefully..............notice how the size, shape, and placement of the climate controls " auto, econ, off" buttons exactly match the placement and size, shape of the radio "am/fm,cd,tape" buttons. masterful
