I have a 2008 Nissan 350z, & it is a 5-speed automatic.. my question is, whne im driving in regular " D " drive, it accelerates great but once the speed is picked up & its time to automatically shift gears its about 3-5 seconds late... Would this be a transmission timing problem?

I cant speak to the Z's auto specifically but generally speaking low trans fluid levels can cause sluggish shifts in automatic's. Costs nothing to check the trans fluid, which generally means warm car run through he gears and check with the car idling.
