(Got carried away with typing, kind of a long read)

I went out last night, with a few people from out of town, to have an extremely early breakfast. We don't normally go to Denny's, but Waffle House is getting old and we do not go to IHOP anymore (Long story).

So we arrive and walk in. It was a pretty busy evening for the waitress, granted it was only four tables but she was the only one their. She finally seated us and took our drink orders. A few people from the local college came in that I recognized and we exchanged greetings as they were seated away from us. Another gentleman came in alone and was seated two booths away from us. One of the females I was with let me know she was a bit uncomfortable with him. He kept staring at her and making awkward gestures. So we swapped seats which left me and my other friend face this guy making sure he wasn't doing anything suspect. He was very drunk I'm assuming.. Or just crazy. Talking to himself, things like that. But he seemed to be about mid-thirties.

Finally, another group came in who seemed like they came from the same club we did. They walked past the table of kids from the college to there seats. One of the college kids accidental hit one of the females in the new group with something. It wasn't a big deal she was okay with it. Well now the focus goes to the drunk/crazy man. He starts talking to himself realitively loud about how the "gay guy was hitting people". He started doing this for a few minutes and no one said anything. Finally he switched from gay to "f*****". I'm not gay, nor was anyone else there, I don't think, but hatred of any kind is ignorant. I've dealt with racism all my life and I wouldn't want any sort of hate that I had go to someone else. Save that for the privacy of your own home. Anyway, I finally stepped up and asked him to stop talking. And well staring at me for a brief moment he finally spoke up and said, "You are a f*****."

I lost my cool.

I had a horrible evening at the club and this was the icing on the cake. I was livid. I got out of my seat and confronted him. He got up with the quickness as I noticed my friend Terence got up as well. He yelled at the top of his lungs, "Help! I'm being attacked". Admittedly I lost my cool and with two people standing up with angry faces, I could see how it looks. He quickly walked out as we apologized to the manager, who was very nice about the whole deal. We sat back down to try and enjoy the rest of our meals. I eventually noticed in the parking lot the same man walking around out row of cars. I jolted out of the Denny's as the man already took of running. This, for lack of better words, motherf***er keyed all of our cars. My Versa, my friends Terence's Saab 900, Alicia's Fit and Erika's Xterra.

Police reports were filed, though I doubt anything will happen and when I woke up noticed it wasn't a key at all.. It was a knife. They could be worse, but the cuts are deep. They can't be buffed out at all. I'm off today so it didn't really help that I just stared at it all day. Anyway I wanted to share that story with you guys. Sorry about the long read. Discuss.

Pictures tomorrow.

It is better that your car got the knife and not your body...

you should have minded your own business from the beginning and moved your seats away from this jerk, then nothing would have happened to the vehicles. u don't know what he was all about. mentally handicapped, serial killer, drunk, who knows. u should have quietly and anonymously complained and left it at that for the manager to take care of.

too many people trying to play cop.

Yeah, I agree with all of these statement.. Maybe not the new paint though. I can't afford it at this moment and insurance probably isn't going to do anything about it.
