Its almost impossible to find anything that looks right on me. The malls and stores tend to have clothes that looks like its for douchey teenagers or old men with more money than God.

I've pretty much exhausted Kohl's, so where to next?

+1
I've just shopped at Kohls as well.
One thing I like about Korea are the stores, they have a ton of variety.
I'll have to hunt for stores that suits my taste once I get back to America.

Have you roamed around your local malls? Maybe you can find a store that you like.

Jesda, Kohl's is a bit of a sham. The "clearance" racks never empty, and are marked at the price all that stuff should have been selling for in the first place. I'll buy some stuff there, but rarely. Good shoe prices.

Honestly, I prefer Dillard's overall (great sale racks). They're my favorite store.

Other stores I like: Anchor Blue (for casual stuff), Buckle (I've bought a couple pair of jeans and a couple "trendy" shirts there), Ross (for work attire), and yep - WalMart (for "staple" items).

Buckle. Go there.

Idk if you have Nordstrom Rack around there, but they have decent clothes there too if you don't want to shop at Nordstrom.

Even better than Nordstrom: Last Chance.

I bought a $900 suit there for $32, and Ive bought several pair of Rockports there for $10-$15.

I vote buckle and guess. Guess has really good looking shirts and jeans. Its a bit pricey though. Buckle is a little cheaper, but most of it is ed hardy and affliction. You can find good hurley stuff there though.

Nordstram rack always has good choices to, and a bit more classy. I've never been to a last chance though, it sounds like used clothing?

Having worked at Kohl's for almost a year (don't laugh, college kid needs to stay eating), I'll let you know why our clearance racks stay stocked. Every two weeks I'm blessed with an overnight shift. :squint: It switches from being "new markdowns" to "additional markdowns". This means around twice a month we mark down a couple thousand units for clearance. Then two weeks after we go through the clearance racks and mark down whatever hasn't sold further until eventually things get to 90% off.

Personally I've grabbed some stuff for pretty cheap. 501's for 3 bucks and I impulse bought a 16 piece plate set last night since it was only 7 dollars :gotme it's always worth taking a look although the initial prices we mark them down to don't dip a lot further then our "sale" prices like you said. It's when we mark them down the second or third time that the savings come. But usually the only things we get a chance to mark down that far are terrible things like XXL-T Hawaiian shirts and the likes LOL

Kohl's is awesome down here. So much good stuff on sale last week and they had a ton of great coupons out, too. I guess it just depends on location.

It's hard to find clothes for myself too but I usually buy from Old Navy and Target mainly but I hit Gordmans sometimes(kinda like a bigger ross, but they have loads of clearance stuff) and Sams Club also has nice stuff every once in a while, which they cycle through what they have pretty quickly though. Then Kohls if I can't find what i'm looking for anywhere else, I always feel like i'm getting ripped off at Kohls most of the time though so it's usually a last stop.

In order.

-Target, good prices and still nice clothes for your age. (And if you go to the one in Chesterfield, let me know what you think about it.)
-Express, good sales, fashionable look but some things are so trendy you can't wear them for long. If you get an Express card they give discounts on your bday and various holiday's throughout the year.
-Buckle, nice jeans, but again, trendy.
-Gap, I've not shopped there for years, but their selection isn't too bad.
-Banana Republic, same as Gap.

I hate shopping and spending money on clothes. If I could get away with wearing the same thing every day, I would. That being said, I will "shop" wherever I happen to be because I am with someone else. I generally only look at the sale racks. Some of my favorite tees are from high school.

Even the Polo brand, which I used to love, has gotten gaudy and douchey. That prancing horse logo is now the size of a real prancing horse.

This is a very good question. I still enjoy cargo pants, plain shirts and shoes that dont have glitter on them, etc. Plus I have a Mediterranean frame, so "skinny" anything is very much out of the question.

I just noticed this post.

Would you be able to tell me when the Kohls in Topeka does their mark downs? I sure would like to go shopping there afterwards. I can handle $3-4 shirts.

Jesda, I think we've hit the age where we're supposed to wear plain polo shirts or normal button down shirts.

it'll be a cold day in hell when I buy a shirt with vines and skulls and sequins on it.

My neck is too thick. Shirts that fit around my neck fit like parachutes.
