Who's got it?

Mine was made June 2004 with last 4 digits of the VIN 1616.

I've noticed a few small differences between this one and my first 2004 unit with last 4 digits 0923.

What is yours? Let's see where it is & how it's doing.

so far looks like you're the winner ;)

Mine was built 3/04, number 0247.

latest big issue is rough shifting transmission, hope I can nurse it for a while.

Interesting post. Mine is 0423. I lose last and first place. Only issue is a dead sensor in one wheel which messes up the TPMS.

Cool. Keep the responses coming.

Yep...my first Y34 (RIP) had a sensor fail as well just this past January. I expect I'll need to replace these (on the 2nd one) in the next year.

When they go, there's no option except to replace the sensor. I know this because I did a post mortem on the old one and it requires destroying it to get to the battery. The replacement units are able to have the battery replaced ...supposedly.

I like the TPMS. But in my area to buy a new one I need to go to the dealer. After market ones don't seem to last too long. Then I need the dealer to sync mine all up. I just don't feel like spending the money to get a sensor replaced. Someday down the road I'll take it to the dealer and get the work done.

I hope this post keeps going for a while. I am interested in who has the first and last number. I will give you the date it was made next time I have a chance to look. This is something I am interested in and hope you put the answers in a spread sheet. There always seems to be a problem with the 2003-04's as to how many were produced.

On my first Y34, I got new replacement sensors at NTB when I got my last set of tires. The dealer then programmed them for me no charge. NTB sven said that if the dealer did charge me for them, they would give me that cost back.

I'll probably do it again when the current original ones die.

Thanks. Too bad for me none are located in CT. All seem to be in MA and are good hour or more away. I'm stuck with the dealer or for easy parts Autozone.

Quite the ghetto example ...but I love that that person knows it's an unusual/rare vehicle in original form.

Doubt it's the last one but I'm interested in knowing the last 5 digits of the vin in any case.

Ghetto example? What does that mean?

To me, Ghetto is a hobbled together collection of parts that are mismatched, thorwn together in effort to make it pop, stand out, shine, be flashy and unique
...but then fails miserably to accomplish that very thing.

Some of the additions by themselves or combined would be fine but when put all together, they create a total that is just a mess with all parts together.

I get it. I call those pieces of crap. Ghetto is not the word I would use. On the plus side I have seen some cars extremely well done in all ways. Motor to body, to interior that were just awesome! If I had those skill sets I would build my own custom ride. Ghetto is just a very bad word in my OP. I would just call them junk!

That M was modded very well by the previous owner, it was very popular in a few forums. Side vents can be said to be out of place but nothing ghetto or rice about it. :nono:

This car was modded for the VIP look.

Now the new owner has added blue wheels that most can say they don't like.

Date: 04/04, VIN: 1259, located in Tampa. Just got my dream car ('04 M45) with 59k miles. So happy - reading thru all these threads and learning about it...
