I'm trying finishing up my Ka-t setup, I have found myself lost and frustrated about what to piggyback i should go with. The mods I currently have and a few that I will have before June. I have Garrett T3 turbo internal wastegate, 440 injectors, upgraded the fuel line 3/8, Nismo fuel pressure regulator, stock piston and rods ceramic coated/ balanced, block has been steam cleaned, oil and fuel cooler and high flow oil pump, unorthdox pulley. Future mods are t4/t3 turbo, forged piston and rods, better cams, 550cc injectors. Basically my goal is 265-285whp on the stock pistons to on forged piston 400max whp. Sorry about that. Thanks

all depends on your budget...

the more money you have, the more money you should spend on engine management.

safc 1 = no, there's no reason to buy this when you can get a safc ii which is significantly better (more tuning points).

greddy emanage - if you are going to get this, might as well get the ultimate, which has better, more "standalone-like" features, you can search on the specifics.

there's also aem ems if you feel like a true customizable standalone and want to learn it or pay someone to tune it.

if you are lazy, for 500-600 you can get a jwt or enthalpy tuned ecu... then just use a safc ii to fine tune their setup.

all that money into externals and internals and your cheaping out on management... that would be the dumbest decision ever. no matter how strong of parts you use management will make or BREAK it.

Naw I'm not trying to cheap out on the part I just want to get what I need, an maybe a few extras..maybe, but something easy for the user. I would like to do most of the tuning myself, I know not all of it but some to most of it would help. What are you guys running on? Thanks

msefi has ka24de/e people using it. DeviousKA I believe has at least the fuel injection running. I know I saw others using it for ignition and fuel.

Personally, I'm still in the planning stages of getting it for my ka24e. You need to research and be sure you know what you're getting into before going for msefi though.

Regular emanage + wideband should work fine. you will need access to a laptop for tuning. Emanage ultimate would be great if you don't mind dishing out the cash, but not necessary for your goals.

Otherwise the safc2 + wideband will work fine too.

You can also forget the wideband and just get the car dyno-tuned. It should be about the same price as a wideband, except you have to pay again to tune it after changes to the setup.
