Last Question before I buy Nistune !!!!!

hey guys I have been to the nistune forums and cant register there until I purchase the board and software. Does anyone know if i can use a different consult cable other than the one offered by nistune?. I was wondering, if there are other low cost alternatives that work with the nistune software?(im cheap) Nistune is obviously not going to tell me to go buy the competitors .I have seen some on ebay ,but they do not specify if it works on NIStune. Has any one used a different consult cable with Nistune?if so please tell...
