This morning I woke up at 7am and drove about an hour and a half to drop off my car at K&N for the final 3.5 intake testing. I spoke to Kirk from K&N and he said after testing with my car and if everything is fine, they will go in production of the intake for the 3.5s and should be completed in 2-3 months. The people were awesome and they gave me a white Dodge Avenger rental car for the days they will be keeping my car. Everything was according to plan and I was on schedule to make it back in time for school. I was on the way to the freeway and a cop was exiting off the off ramp into my lane at the same time (merging lane). I was already going a steady speed and had the right of way so I went ahead of him. The light turned red and I was going to make a right turn to continue my way onto the on ramp. I signaled and completely stopped and yielded to traffic just like any normal right turn at a red light. After traffic was cleared, I made that right turn. The cop was behind me the whole time and pulled me over right before going onto the on ramp. Asked me for my license, registration, etc. He noticed this was not my vehicle and I told him about the reasons why and showed him the K&N rental contract. He ended up giving me a ticket, I thought it was because I "cut" him off during that merging but he ended up giving me a ticket for not yielding to traffic at the red light (21453(b) vehicle code) and his reason was that a woman in a van had to suddenly brake because I decided to turn , there was no such van, traffic was clear after yielding (I was at the light looking onto traffic until all the cars passed), and the cop stayed behind me the whole time (no van was in between us). On the ticket he wrote down the address of the court which is an hour and a half away from where I live but he did not write down a date and time to appear. Now this is just BS and I would admit if I did anything wrong but I didn't. I plan to fight but what are my chances against the word of a man in uniform in court..
