hey everyone,i just wanted to thank you all for contributing to my favorite forum on the web.

I want to say that i have NEVER been in such a tight community of people as surrounds 240s.I had to give up my CA swapped 240 about a month ago due to the money pit it was becoming and bought a prelude for a DD.

Shortly after that buy, I joined a HUGE prelude forum online. It has been really horrible. Nobody wants to help out, and everyone is rude and sarcastic. I thought I would post a link to a forum that I started over there to share with yall how great you guys are.

http://www.preludeonline.com/f...38545

As you can see i gave big props to nico

I hope to get another 240 once i get my finances all sorted out and things are going a little better for me. It will be nice to know you guys are waiting.

One last thing. I really want to congratulate Broadfeild. Your car has been an absolute inspiration to me, Your attention to detail is truly unbelievable. I went ahead and printed out a picture of your car and framed it in my room. Keep up the good work and I will always check back for your updates.

Thanks everyone for making up one of the best forums on the web!

I read through the thread and, honestly, I think you were being a little overly sensitive. I've seen people get bashed much worse on several forums for better questions. Bashing is almost always expected with online communities (unfortunately). It's because people don't have to worry about ever actually meeting the person. Arguing with them just makes you a target for the next time you ask a question. My advice... Thank the ones that helped you and ignore the insults and sarcastic comments. (At least while you're still the new guy)

Edit: Before someone says something... Yes, I know I've been known to argue with people over their sarcasm but hey... Just because I know the right thing to do, doesn't mean I always do it.

A 240sx is love and you will be back. One day you will have some extra cash and you'll be thinking how much you'd like to have a 240sx again. The next thing you know you will be searching Craigslist for your next 240.

I loved my S14 Kouki (that I bought back in 2001) so much that I had to get another S14 (Zenki) to go with it this past December. I now have two S14's and I don't ever see me selling them. I looked at a new Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T today and the sales lady was trying so hard to get me to buy it, but I had to tell her that I have two 240sx's and that's all I'll ever need, unless I decide to buy another 240sx. The next one I buy (if I do) will be an S13 vert.

dude stick around for one reason and one reason only, your love for 240's. when i sold my old 93 hatch i still stuck around and when i had the money to get another 240 i went strait to the classified ads on here and found the 92 SE coupe i have now. ive been members of other automotive forums and ive been lucky and every one ive been a member of has a very tight knit group of people. i learned a long time ago that honda boys think they are the s*** but at the same time they evny us 240 boys cause we can get sideways. i love my 86 accord daily driver but its just that a daily driver like all hondas are unless its a S2000, to me the honda H has always said ricer and i can say that whole heartedly being that ive been in the import world for longer than i can remember. Anyone remember the early days of Super Street when it was nothing but hondas??? I do and i still have them old issues from the 90's.

A way to save money:

Every $5.00 bill that is given to you in change can be stashed to the side. You can find a special out of sight place like a shoe box with a slit in it to shove them in. You will probably never miss it and it adds up really fast. I'm terrible with saving money but this technique has cured me of my money saving problems.

Just a thought as a 240sx fund starter for you.

OP I think you said it best with this comment "now im sure i will get alot of crap for saying this, but lets be real. Calling shots out and saying your a ricer? WE ALL DRIVE HONDA'S nobody on here has a real performance car. "

How true, most of those kids have the primered hatches with intake and exhaust and probably have never gotten laid.

Yeah I would definitely be into checking out some events around southern oregon. Keep me posted. I somehow miss out on all the drift events around here.

are you talking about?! I don't drive a Honda, Mr. CutSprings...

There are prenty of Nico members that own multiple cars. I personally know several that have Evo's, STI's and/or Corvettes.

I really hate when ppl make very badly misinformed generalizations...

Edit: Nevermind. I read that out of context. My bad.

Man... that Prelude forum is useless. Good luck, OP.
