Retrofitsource has a 20% off sale. So the guys who like the osram replacement bulbs, or morimoto hid, or danso hid, now is the best time.

Why is the price so different between the retrofitsource 5000k and these 5500k on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/191121192123?redirect=mobile) ? Just curious, going to need new bulbs soon. :wtf2:

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything from ebay that's new at half price that's known to be faked...no matter what the seller rating.

Anyway, you could read these two things, then decide if you want to try.

I understand what your saying. Im a firm believer that fpr quality you must pay alot more. Im just wondering if they were different or its just ebay vs the actualy website.

I have NOT personally verified this ... but .... it is widely reported that about 85% of the bulbs on Ebay, Craig's List, and Amazon are cheap knock-offs. If I am going to go to the trouble, labor, and aggravation to replace headlamps, etc, I do NOT want to install anything that I'm not confident about.
The Retrofit Source, as we know, is one of VERY few shops who still get all their bulbs directly from the manufacturer with no distributor in the middle. I would NEVER but a headlamp aside from an Infiniti dealer or The Retrofit Source.
For LEDS, I would NEVER buy any LED bulb aside from Vleds. There bulbs are nothing short of amazing, and they tell you how 'bright' they are based on a factual rating instead of arbatrarliy calling every bulb 'super bright', etc.
You will pay the going rate for highest quality bulbs, but here's the best part: You will only pay it once, instead of how often the cheap knock-off fails.

Those bulbs appear to match mine but here is the thing: They don't mention where THEY got the bulbs from. They also do not claim they are genuine or provide a pic of the factory hologram seal or the SKU number for you to verify they came directly from the factory. If they bought them from a distributor instead of the actual manufacturer (Germany), they are likely NOT genuine. They are offered at half price so you have to wonder how they were able to buy them and re-sell them at a price which surely is far below the actual cost from the manufacturer.

So noble...lol!
If it is legit, I think i would still stick with The Retrofit Source. If there was an issue I know it would be resolved without a prob.

...good things aren't cheap and cheap things aren't good.
