ok guys so the shell is completely redone and all ready for the motor...iv cleaned every part i can reach and orderd everthing i thought i was going to need except the bearings... this is where i need some help.iv done the math for getting the codes for an oem replacement but im using the original crank ( checked runout ). i found these ,,,http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

And although the price is some what unbelievable, their ACL and i just need bearings asap. i've read that with after market bearing companies the codes on the block and crank need not apply?

Also my second problem is my pistons. i orderd a new oem replacement from west coast nissian for my 4th cylinder that blew, and the 3 i will be using over ( with new rings ) arent exactly the same as the one i recieved in the mail ?!...This is the new one and you can see the large hole thats IS on both sides in the corner. it still has the two small oil holes so its either to kill wheight or another lube possibility idk ?...This is one of the old ones and it obviously doesnt have the holes...

Am i going to be able to use this combo of pistons or do i need to figure out whats up before i put them in and they wheigh different, or lube different ? thanks for any help guys im really dyin to get this thing running. ill def get some pics up as soon as it starts progressing a little better!!

First, good job on your hard work, glad to see it coming along. On the Pistons question. As long as the front of that piston is marked the same as the one you are replacing you should be fine. With OEM pistons the wrist pin is just a tad off center. As long as you put the new OEM the same way as the old OEM and remember to put the rods in with the oil holes lined up, there should not be any problem.

those are the acl stock replacement, not the race grade bearings that they offer which can be found on ebay for 100$ shipped (rod, main, thrust)

i am unsure of the sizing but most acl bearings dont come in oversized sizes, you could probably find it on the acl website

I personally would have that rotating assembly balanced to be sure the piston is close to the weight of your remaining 3. I had ordered a stock replacement rod when rebuilding my sr,...only to find out that the weight difference was astronomical and the machinist could not remove that much material off of the other rods, using a improperly matched set of pistons or rods can cause unwanted vibrations resulting in damage to your engine....anyways it is just a suggestion.

thanks for all the help...i took the pistons to the post office and asked to use one of thier scales for postage. It came out the same as the others but i was told thats theres 7 different types of SR pistons so im not sure where i stand right now with it
