largest 17" tire that fits

Just purchased some 17X8 +35 offset rims for my stock J30.

How large of tire can I go without any rub.

Searched the forum end to end and it seems 215/55/R17 will work.

Can someone confirm that? Or any other size?

With no body mods, cut springs and 04 cobra wheels you can fit 265/40/17
