I'm from the 300zx forum:

Theres a few basic things you need to know about wheel sizing for any car. You need the correct offset for your car, you shoudl know how heavy they are, the wheels should be as wide/wider than your stock wheels, and how tall your rims are plays a factor in if you will need to roll your fenders in order to prevent your tires rubbing. Hope that helps.

Two disadvantages: 1) the ride will be harder than on the 18". 2) There are more tires choices available in 18" and 19" will generally be more expensive.

Make sure to go low profile or "+1" in size. Basically, the 19's with the tire will be the same diameter as the 18's with the tire. This ensures that your VDC (stability control) will not have problems.
