I'm wondering where and how I'd go about mounting a laptop in my s14 for the e-manage. Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures of how it's been done?

I'm also looking for a used laptop if anyone's got one.

e manage? what is this? im thinking its the program to conrtoll the injectors duty cycle, pulse width, ign timeing, boost or whatever ...what all does it controll ? does it still retian the stock ecu ?

would be nice for the next g20 , need something more tuneable for it than a jim wolfe ecu as the car would continue to change

Can you imagine an OS crash or a typo while under way? Bill Gates meets destruction derby.

Yeah, the Emanage runs off it's own box. You just use the laptop to adjust it. And even though it runs off it's own box, it is simply spliced into the stock ECU. So basically it's a glorified SAFC than you use a laptop to adjust it with. It has more options than a SAFC, but works the same way (fooling the ECU).

You can unplug the laptop and it keeps all your changes stored on the emanage box.
