I'm not sure if anyone has found out, but instead of waiting for that batman guy, they have made some overlays for the Versa.

Taillight Overlay Colors Include:Charcoal--70% light outputSmoked--83-5% light outputGun Smoke--90-3% light output

There are also headlight overlaysColors Include:Clear--100% light outputYellow--I guess 100% light outputTint--slightly dark (somewhat like Gun Smoke)Smoked--Darkest for headlights (not Dark as Tail smoke)

Every set comes with an application tool, but when I went to see how much it would cost...$65 basically without shipping

There are 12 oz. spray bottles you can purchase with every set and also some kind of protective spray applicator.

There are general pics of how it would look on a car, but not model specific pics.Either way, seems neat if you don't want to smoke-paint the taillights like CodeRed and myself among others.

What do you guys think?

This would be a good time to point out that in most locales, tinting your HEADLIGHTS is illegal... also, a lot of locales make yellow headlight output illegal, making all of these overlays except the clear ones illegal.

They are illegal here in CA, but that doesn't stop anyone, clear is awesome to protect from chips of the headlight though.

thx for pointing that out, EV.I forgot to mention that, but I just posted what was out for the V.

and

also, sorry BDog, didn't mean much about batman-dude not getting them out yet, cus I know they are cheaper than the ones I posted about, but just thought it was neat that we have something else in the form of "aftermarket support" for our Versas~! woo hoo

p.s. HEY CODeRED!!!ya think we can use these over our already smoke-painted tails?hmm mine have somewhat faded or gotten "smokier" not really nice and black. i think i might be picking up a set from the batman

I agree, which is why I will be analyzing my finances again after my tax refund (which goes towards buying a new roof for my house, not any fun toys for the car). I'm mostly positive I will end up buying a set of clears for protection purposes.

I'm just curious - does a "set" for $65 include headlights and tail lights, or just one or the other?

Also, it looks like a set includes the tool, but doesn't include the solution necessary for application - is this the case?

i think its only per set pf back or fronts.regarding the solution---- its basically water and methyl hydrasomethin sort of like a weak alcohol with mostly water.

you can apply it with water.it comes with the squeegee thing. but there is also some sort of protective spray. im guessing its a special type of detailing spray that acts as "wax"
