Just got back home from an interesting night drift session. I go to this big parking lot sometimes on weekends, it's a HS stadium parking lot, in the middle of a warehouse area.

anyways, I went last night and tonight. tonight was better, started off with some figure 8's, set several cars apart since my *** needs to be in 2nd. then I progressed to just U -turns, then 90 degree turns. kinda learned the braking drift, I like it too. seems easier to control. there are lightpoles in the parking lot, and I tried to drift across 2. they are set pretty far apart. the first few times, I didn't make it all the way, but once I kept it going but lost the drift and kinda gripped and cut the 2nd lighpole pretty close.

the last drift of the night was a pretty sick one, cleared both lighpoles, straight out of D1 or something, it was that good. had a couple of friends with me watching, who said it was the ****. anyways, just so happens I did it right in front of a cop. I know he thought it was badass too, but he had me pull back in next to my friends. one of them kinda was smarting off a little, which pissed the cop off a bit I think. he was a bit of a hard *** to begin with.

after the usual long-*** wait, he gave us all (3 of us) criminal tresspassing tickets. my one friend was really pissed and was told to "stand down" (yeah, that's gay). I guess we could have got it worse, at least I could have, being caught in the middle of a drift. But never having been caught after school smoking a joint, I don't have any experience with this kind of ticket.

anyone ever got one, or know how much it costs? would have been a damn good weekend, too. oh well, 5x or so up there and never been caught untill now.

It definately could've been worse. Rule number 1, never mouth off no matter what. It's a lose lose situation, remember, you aren't holding the ticket book, he is.

Get your local Attorney that everyone goes to to get tickets dropped, or if you are like me and have a lawyer friend :D . He can probally get it dropped. I would deffinetly not go to court with out a lawyer. shouldn't cost but 2 or 3 hundred dollars. You really dont want a criminal record. It could prove bad down the road.

PS What Holisticbeatz said! Don't be a smart A$$.

I definitely wasn't the one being smart, brothers tend to get beat down for less. But one of my friends thinks he knows everything and thought they shouldn't be able to do anything.

So a lawyer would be able to get this dropped completely, or get a refered adjudication type deal? it's not a traffic ticket, and one of my friends doesn't believe in lawyers, saying that he's handled most of his tickets himself. speeding is a criminal act too, and goes on your record unless you get a lawyer. And you think it would be 2-300 bones? Damn, I gotta look this up tomorrow...
