Then you really didn't look at the new sedan, and you definitely didn't sit in one. I have a 2005 and I just test drove the 2007 SL. It was awesome. The CVT was phenomenal, the leather was soft and the inside was was more refined. It was beautiful. The body is quite different with greater sloping windshields and a tapered rear. The only thing I'm not quite sold on is the tailights really. I wish they had classier tailights.terrormaschine wrote:when i frist heard about the altima coupe i thought it was going to be the next great thing.. but i keep looking at the pics and i really dont like it all that much... its a cheap 350 body line and 07 altima hootnanny. but thier is only two ways it does catch my eye and thats the back and the side of it. also it would of beeen even a better looking car if it was givin better rims. and the same goes for the 07 altima, the only thing thats differnt from it and my 03 is start push button, GPS, dual climate and CVT...
start push button - eh.. i like keys GPS - i know where im going dual climate - i got windows that go up and down CVT - shiffting is way better
Hopefully it goes under MSRP, I want to get a 2.5s with CVT, $2000 down, less than $250 a month for 48 months, I need a car before August and this would be my first car. I've heard some people say they will be overpriced but we can't say anything until we really see if they are. Where I live there's a lot of Nissan dealer competition so hopefully that'll help. My favorite dealer where my parents are customers have over 100 sedans in stock, another salesperson from another dealer told me that he'll call me as soon as he gets them to test drive it and that he'll have good deals, like on the sedan, what do you guys think?mlubes11 wrote:

I still prefer the coupe. I'll just have to see what the availability is and if the price will be more negotiable in a couple months when my current lease is up. 4 payments left. Right now no coupe will go for less than MSRP. I would never lease it at that price.
He's prolly talking about leasing it for 250. I don't think there's gonna be anyone who can finance it and pay less than 300 a month, you'd need to put like 12,000 down to do that.arthwerks wrote:An Altima for $2,000 down and $250 a month for 48 months? Not possible. Do the math. 250 times 48 equals $12,000. Add your $2,000 down payment and you are at $14,000. The invoice on a base Altima with a 6-speed transmission is in the 18s. No rebates (yet) and no real need for them at this time. All of this and you have to consider tax, title, and license. Maybe a used Altima. But this problem is not just with Nissan. All vehicles have gone up in price over the last 10 years. But there are also a lot of 10 year old Nissan's on the road today. Remember the old saying, you get what you pay for. Good luck.
Hey where did you get the lease rates? I noticed they still don't have them up on nissan's site. I'm trying to figure what my payments would be on a 3.5SE with 4,000 down on a 36 month leasearthwerks wrote:Okay Carlosf22,
I think everyone should be prepared when they go car shopping. Here you go.
48 month Altima coupe lease. Money factor 0.00295 Residual 6-speed 44% CVT 46%
Hope this helps.
are the coupe lease rates close to those of the sedan? or are the lease rates higher?arthwerks wrote:I'll keep you informed if I hear anything different.
I called a dealre a couple weeks ago and they told me they would have "good" deals, and the rates would be like the ones on the sedan so come over. Today my mom called the dealer she leased her Altima from and they told her they would be getting 2-dozen coupes next week, right now the inventory says 1 coupe and over 100 sedans, that's a big dealer, hopefully they are eager to sell them, there's a lot of competition here.toxik wrote:a

I wouldn't worry dude, I'm sure you'll be able to get a 2.5s for around 250 a month. The dealer I saw today even told me the same thing, and thats with the convinience package.Carlosf22 wrote:I wouldn't mind waiting a month or two if I got the deal I wanted. I haven't seen any so far, but the dealers have them.
