lack of power

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I have a 91 2.4l pintara which is lacking big time in power. It only has about 50% power. Timing, filters have been checked. Thought it could be a gasket, there are no other signs. Has anyone had this happen.thanks

plugs, wires, ditributor cap, rotor?

maybe air filter? fuel filter? fuel pump?

Pull the codes on the ECU, if everything seems all clear, test the coolant temp sensor that supplies temp data to the ecu. This can cause a reduction of power.
