I'd frankly rather pay $50 for the steam version than $30 for a boxed version. I'd rather all the money go to Valve and none to their boxed publisher (EA).

Anyway:Who has this/is getting this for PC and who for one of those stupid consoles? ( )

I played the demo on both 360 and PC, and while I would rather buy it for PC, with the 360 I can get splitscreen with my friend which is a big thing.

I've got it for 360.

Most reviews I've read are spot on: if you liked the first one, you'll love this one.

Also I just wanted to say that this one is much more difficult than the first one. I wouldn't ever want to play on normal on the first one but normal is hard enough now hah. Took my friend and I four tries to beat the last part of the carnival level on normal. Was rough hah.

I need some humans to play with. AI is useless for any type of strategy or really anything but standing still and shooting.

I'll definitely be getting it for PC in 2 weeks (i need to pass my finals). I've been playing around on the 360 version and cant stand using a joystick to aim let alone wallpouncing as a hunter/smokering ppl. On pc everything has headshot potential where on the 360 i feel like i'm just painting with bullets. And that 180 flip btn was only useful in RE4.

Rotation speed/control is definitely critical in this game. When you get overwhelmed you need to be able to react and spin according to the weapon you have with you. Much easier to get out of a crowd of zombies with a mouse than a limited-speed-rotation gamepad. 180* spins don't help if they're automated. I want to be bashing or swinging or firing as I spin, trying to open up an escape path.

Click the community tab in steam, then click "browse groups" and search for NICO. There are a ton of "nico" groups but ours uses the NICO logo so you'll know it when you see it.

It...doesn't. They are in no way similar. Even the zombies are different.

The only thing similar is maybe the survival mode for l4d2. My favorite is the Parish one on top of the scaffolding. Gather all the weapons and make a pile on one side with a pile of gas cans and propane cans on the other. We held out for 12 minutes today It get's pretty epic past 10 minutes though with hundreds of zombies, several tanks, and dozens of special infected.
