Car: 65 L320 pick up

Post

Good afternoon to you all. I'm looking for a complete wiring harness for my 65 L320 pick up. Just got the truck and the wiring looks like a pasta dish from front to back. Can anyone point me to a dealer/vendor in the Sacramento CA local area who might have the kit?

This is the first of many parts I need. It has no master cylinder, so I don't know what shape the brakes are in. Tranny seems okay. Have a line on a complete new motor.

Thanks

Allen

becka9,

Welcome aboard. Sorry for the delayed salutations, busy with bachelor life and school.

If you need individual wires to splice into or repair an OE wiring harness, I have all the wiring you need. Grey tape is available at your local hardware store for the close to OE look.

If you are looking for an OE Datsun 320 wiring harness, sorry I do not have an extra. Your best bet is to go with a generic 6 fuse wiring harness. Might be available locally (?) or go to google/eBay and see what comes up. I've priced one for my parts 320 and they run ~$200 (I think) for a complete front, engine, dash, and back harness.

So I would definitely compare the price of an OE harness of unknown condition to a brand new generic one before giving up your debit/credit card #.

Again, welcome to the NiCo 320 Forum :dblthumb:

I thought the chances of finding a replacement harness would be slim as Lil Truckie has verified. The wiring harness on my 64 PU is original. You are welcome to come by ( Roseville ) and take pictures or whatever. The wiring diagrams in the service manual and the parts manual can help but do not provide color coding. Darn!
