I was told my timing on my l28et was of by 180 degres and in order to fix that I would have to pull the oil pump out and re-aline everythin to zero.has any one had this problem before? Is this something hard to do? can anyone give me some guideness?

Thanks!

did you have it apart?if you haven't has it apart then there si no reason for it to be out of wack, if you are having problem make sure the plugs wires ar on in the right order and they are positioned counter cloclwise from #1

to align it you set the cam and crank at tdc, pull the pump and driveshaft, alsgn the dots, then you have to silde it in without touchign anything, then you place the distributor in the the slot

if th eengine is in th ecar you'll want to remove the splash shield is you still have it and th efront sway nar as it's right in the way
