L28ET into S13

I've been thinking very seriously about trying to swap an L28ET into my 90 S13. Finding information for this has not been easy and the one site I found with some really in depth stuff, the guy i guess never finished cuz it just ended without results.

Basically I know the oil pan needs to be changed with an early maxima pan (front sump). Other than that, I am at a loss for what needs to be done. It seems simple and straight forward, but the things I am thinking of most is wiring up factory gauges.

Also I keep reading it but I cant find the specifics that I need, how to you bolt up a KA transmission to a L engine? Does it just need an adapter plate or is the bellhousing not usable and you need to swap internals?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, if there is a better location for this let me know. Thank you all.

Anything could be done with time and money--You would need a adapter plate for that trans--probably my viable$$$$$ as far a wiring--the RB25 was never meant to go into a S13 but there a bunch of successful examples. If you have the fortitude then it could be accomplished.

You'll need the bellhousing from a 280zx and you'll have to either replace the countershaft bearing on you 240sx transmission with the smaller one off the zx transmission

OR

You'll have to have the hole for the countershaft bearing in the ZX bellhousing bored out to accomodate the SX countershaft bearing.

An adapter plate is NOT necessary

I think you should do it.. Ive seen a few pictures but never read much about a swap. I had a 81 280zxt and that car was awesome. I left the 3 speed auto in and did a few very minor things to it and ran a 9.2 in a eight, I loved that car. Its a very tourqey motor and sounds mean as hell.
