The down pipe is the killer. I've not done L28ET but completed L28 and L28E in 720s. Current project is Z18ET and the main problem is the down pipe. If the L28ET is run with electric fans the rad doesn't need to move and the fans would need to be placed on the outside of the rad. The engine mounts need to be fabricated and the cut out in the cab may need to be elongated depending on the transmission used for the shifter. The exhaust manifold will need to be modified to place to turbo on top and more forward for the down pipe to be used without cutting the chassis or fire wall. The fuel supply would need to be up-graded to 5/16" and the original fuel line used as the return. I always recommend the use of an internal fuel pump and any one from any fuel injected engine would work unless you intend to keep the RPM up, then you need some thing around 125 PSI or 15 gallons per minute.

No pics. In those days even dynos were not available down here. I used the box from the L28E. Its a short box and designed for the HP developed by the engine. Gear ratios are nice also, although I cant tell you them, so you'll need to lengthen the front half of the drive shaft 6". The box for my current swap is from an A10 I think and is a long box so I did not need to adjust the front end of the shaft. The yoke for the transmission is the same as the L28E also.

Most excellent, thank you !! I have every thing needed then, other than moving/ fabbing engine mounts and lengthening the driveshaft !!

Cheers, I will post pics/ etc as I go... though I likely won't get to it for at least a year !!
