I have done a little bit of looking around and have not found much on this except a few videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZOJdVfv8eM . IS there anyone on here that knows what is involved or where i can find more information. Also looking to do a 280z front end conversion http://img482.imageshack.us/im...8.jpg and any help here would be appreciated as well!

1. You may want to check out the hybrid forums, also check out hybridz.com (I believe that's the name) they might now. I haven't heard of this swap.

2. The picture you are looking at is a FULL CUSTOM JOB (that's my understanding there).

I didn't see your first post; so welcome to the Nico Forums.

Yeah i just thought a 280sx would be kinda cool. I mean I have never seen one. And the L28 makes good power and still maintains good gas milage. I have seen people w/ 450hp turbo L28 that still claim to get upwards of 30mpg. That works for me have fun and still save the earth. And another reason i am thinking of doing this is I have a L28 in my shop now i am rebuilding and am going to need something to put it in but i am not to fond of tuns of body work so why not buy an s13 for a few bucks and have something that is different?

I was going to do this too. Had the motor and everything, but I crashed my s13 and had to scrap the project before I began. Here is the info I collected.

Yeah i looked at that thread I just posted the other day to get an update from Pallnet about his project because he went so far and the there was nothing i believe that last thing i saw was when he was trying to get the oil pan to work and found he could use a maxima one and then nothing. So i am hoping to hear something. And maybe some vids there isn't much on youtube about this. But i think i will be a great project. Oh BTW do you know if the R33 xmember is the same as the R32?

Look bro, I have done the swap. It's really not worth it. Turbo the KA. If you are really dead set on doing this though, know that you will have to get the motor and all of the obvious stuff, custom one piece drive shaft, r32 xmember. I wired the L28ET harness into my body harness and so far I haven't had a problem. The only real problem that I have ran into is my front sway bars were in the way of the bottom end of the block, but I fabed some mounts up and I'm good now.

The swap is not hard at all. I don't get enough time to post stuff on forums much anymore so no real updates. I'm in the middle of collecting parts for a 5 lug conversion and a few other things.I just spoke to a local friend and he wants my drivetrain to bolt into his hatch. This about perfect timing considering I have a "L" turbo stroker waiting to go in with a host of other goodies to do at that time. There's nothing like the feel of a turbo 6 with all of the torque except for a turbo V8 but that's another story for another time. The swaybar is the only issue I ran into and I machined some offset spacers. I will notch the oilpan for the stroker and remove the spacers.

The "L" is a good motor for many reasons..Thankspallnet
