will there be any modifying other than just bolt on????.....my exhaust is already cut and its 4 wheel drive so exhaust wont matter.....adjusting hood wont matter either....i love hood scoops...and also what cars came with the l20b engine so i can know what cars to look out for...would really like a little more power(have a burnt valve right now) but this is a everyday driver so dependability is an issue....dont want anything other than stock block and heads...i live in alabama so no smog worries....thanks

not sure how much modding will be needed... cool idea tho!

as soon as i start bringing in money i'm gonna swap the KA head and aftermarket KA rods and pistons into my Z24 with some mikuni side drafts on E85.... it'll be my supersleeper auto x truck!

There's a difference on the timing cover. It doesn't quite match up with the cylinder head and the little bolts are on different places. That old classic Bob Waar book discussed it; if I can find it ... there it is How to Hot Rod and Race your Datsun

Though you have a single chain/double chain also to deal with. You may need to use an L20B timing cover and change the chain sprocket gear.

I planted the Z22 internals, i.e. crank, rods, pistons, oil pickup and pan, in an L20 block. Needed to shave the tops of the conrod bolts a bit to clear the bottom of the cylinder bore. Had L28 intake valves, a 280 degree cam and a pair of 40mm Weber sidedrafts, and she was fun

The L20B came from a Skyline but they were also in the Laurel

I am considering putting Z22 pistons and rods in my L20b.

I have a 82 king cab 4x4 and the owner before me didnt let me know the head has a problem with the seats or guides something burning the valves...so rigged it up and sold it to me cause im a idiot that believes.....lol.....he replaced the valve but only lasted me about a month before it burnt on me.....well thanks again 4 the info....ill post what i decide to do...
